Years of Experience
Shuddha Danta was created to address a critical environmental and health issue: the overwhelming plastic waste generated by conventional oral care products. Each year, approximately 230,000 tonnes of plastic enter the Mediterranean Sea, while 5 billion toothbrushes and 3,000 tonnes of toothpaste tubes end up in landfills. Most toothpaste tubes are non-recyclable due to their mixed-material composition. Recognizing that brushing is a daily activity, we knew the impact was immense. Shuddha Danta was established with a mission to make oral care effective, natural, and environmentally responsible.

Take a moment to enjoy this process. Feel the earthiness of this product. Close your eyes, hum a song of your choice, do a slow dance, count your blessings, and begin and end your day by saying: 'अनुगृहिता अस्म्यहम्,' meaning "I am blessed," and 'लोकः समस्ताः सुखिनो भवन्तु,' meaning "May all beings be happy."
Take a pea to dime-sized amount of "SHUDDHA DANTA" on your palm, slightly wet your toothbrush with water, and apply the powder. Gently rub it on all areas of your mouth, giving a little extra attention to any affected spots. Try to keep the saliva in your mouth while brushing, swishing it around before spitting. This helps it reach any missed areas. You’ll be amazed at how clean and fresh it makes your mouth feel, even cleaning your tongue.
If you have weak gums, we suggest an additional 10-second gum massage with your index finger. Even if your gums are healthy, massaging can improve dental health by stimulating the nerves.
A tremendous effort has gone into making this product and its packaging plastic-free. We (Yogesh Kumar and Yogi Mukesh Kumar) are equally concerned about health and environmental hazards. We envision a future where waste is fully recyclable or biodegradable and believe in taking responsibility for this.
Ayurvedic tooth powders were overshadowed when modern toothpastes were marketed as "smooth and easy" while tooth powders were labeled "time-consuming and abrasive." Yet, no one considered the long-term health and environmental impacts. Did you know your toothpaste tube can take up to 500 years to decompose? The irony is that chemicals are marketed as smooth, while organic ingredients are seen as harsh. Many ingredients in modern toothpaste are considered carcinogenic. Keep it away from moisture! This organic product contains no preservatives and is safe for both humans and the planet, but moisture can alter its texture.
SHUDDHI is an effort to remind us of what we have forgotten. It represents the mindset of our planet, which cares for us selflessly, and we aim to adopt this way of thinking. It is a hope to protect our Mother Earth.
This beautiful planet is ours to protect, as are its people. A little consciousness can make a significant difference.
We pronounce it as "SHUDDHA," which means purity. It encourages us to become more conscious of what is suitable for our body and life and to make purer choices every day.
Did you know that scraping your tongue daily can affect your taste buds? Ideally, toothpaste should clean your tongue automatically, but instead, it often leaves a sugary and chemical aftertaste.
Toothpaste isn't just held by your teeth and gums; part of it is absorbed by your body. Ever noticed the warning on your toothpaste carton? It says, “If swallowed, seek medical help or contact poison control.” Do we really need something like this?
Have you observed the increase in dental clinics in your area over the past decade or two? Are these toothpastes genuinely helping?
